Thanks, Peege!

John sent me a text message with a pictures of himself standing in front of a Vermont license plate. I texted him back and asked where he saw it. He told me he saw it in Soulard. I got Gracie and headed down to Soulard. I was on a mission and needed a break from working on my statistics homework. Yes! Vermont, in fact two Vermonts. Yippie! I can just feel those pencils getting sharper. Down to two plates--Nevada (what?) and Hawaii. By the way, Peege found this great License Plate Index--check it out! I'm thinking of buying these t-shirts for good luck. What should my text say?

Look who's down to four plates!

Okay, after being subjected to all the whining from the California branch of the family saying that no one drives to their state and that the Missourians have such an advantage, one family from San Diego who shall be remain anonymous (Bob and Natalie) is down to four plates! While I am down to three, I am feeling immense pressure. After all, my pencils need sharpening! Grand prize--Cash Register Pencil Sharpener!

Tiny Bubbles

Only five more plates to go: Nevada, Louisiana, Vermont, Utah and Hawaii, which I think is going to be the hardest plate this summer. We saw hundreds of Louisiana's this past weekend in Houston. I couldn't count them, though. Why? Because Houston is not in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. I shall try my luck tomorrow by singing "Tiny Bubbles" while I'm in my car. I'm sure that will work because tomorrow is my birthday, and finding a Hawaii license plate would be a great birthday present. "Ti-ny Bubbles..."

License Plate Game 2010

My friend Kathy just passed on this great warm-up for the our annual summer event: The License Plate Game How well-traveled are you?

Ten days into License Plate Game 2010, and I have 40 states! Surprisingly, I have 3 left that should be pretty easy to get: Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. The other 7 are traditionally difficult to find. Wish me luck!
